THE MUSICAL

1869 New York, a nation rebuilding itself from war. Against a backdrop of industrial expansion, mass immigration, and political division, construction begins on the Brooklyn Bridge. But when Chief Engineer Washington Roebling descends into the caissons and falls mysteriously ill, his wife, Emily, must take up the reins. She learns the engineering. Manages the worksite. Navigates the politics. For over a decade, a woman is secret Chief Engineer of the Brooklyn Bridge, without a title, without credit, without anyone ever officially knowing.

Posterity has recently begun to recognize Emily Warren Roebling, but our musical, The Bridge, asks the question no one has yet thought to ask: If Emily was behind Washington, who was behind Emily? The Bridge is a new musical epic about those in the shadows who made the impossible possible.

THE EXPERIENCE

The Bridge Experience is an immersive world built around that musical—part live Broadway-scale theatrical performance, part fully realized destination you can move through, inhabit, and explore. Set in a converted industrial warehouse in downtown Brooklyn, only steps away from the Brooklyn Bridge, The Experience will include:
